Company History

The company is headed up by Steve Griffin, who has spent 38 years working in the financial services industry, and is also Managing Director of Meridian Financial Management Limited.
Meridian Financial Management Limited is a UK registered company who have provided financial planning solutions for over 23 years, with the last 12 years as Independent Financial Advisors, both in the UK and Europe, and were one of the first companies in Europe to provide specialist advice on QROPS.

We are proud of our reputation and the security which we have helped our clients to acheive through our individually tailored financial planning recommendations.

Expat Pensions was created to provide UK Expats with specialist pensions advice.

Our Administrative Office is based in Samoens, Haute Savoie, France.

Steve Griffin (Dip PFS) - Managing Director

Steve Griffin is one of the most widely respected financial advisors in the UK, with a career spanning over 38 years. He began his career in financial services with what was then known as Midland Bank, now HSBC, and quickly rose to the rank of bank manager. Steve also worked for Allied Dunbar where he was one of their top performers over a long period before deciding to branch out on his own. He launched Meridian Financial Management Ltd in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1997 as a specialist consultancy to high net worth clients in middle England. He has a strong technical knowledge of the legal aspects of pensions and tax issues and is Managing Director of Meridian Financial Management and founder of Expat Pensions. Steve now lives in France, near Geneva.

Outside his professional career, he is perhaps best known for sailing the wrong way around the world, when he took a year's sabbatical to join 17 other like-minded individuals to complete the Global Challenge; an experience which he describes as both tough and life enhancing!

Expat Pensions was Steve's brainchild and was launched early in 2008. Expat Pensions was conceived in response to an increasing demand for specialist advice to clients of UK origin now living elsewhere in Europe or those considering moving abroad.
